How To Clean Tile Grout
Tile grout can be a disgusting mess that doesn't want to be cleaned up. Here are some suggestions on how to clean your tile grout quickly and effectively.
We're going to show you how to clean tile grout. Tile grout, I mean, you can get tile grout cleaners at hardware stores but we tend to use spray bleach. It's also very good for getting rid of mold and mildew as well.
Depending on how bad the grout is, you might need bleach on a bit longer. For us, we always have to work quite quickly so we'll spray bleach the tiles and the grout. And then, we'll use a Scotch Brite pad which is basically an abrasive end and a sponge at the bottom end.
And then, scrub out to try and get rid of that. Obviously, you need to be careful you're not digging out too much grout out of the tiles. You, basically, just want to give it a couple once over with a sponge.
That's pretty much it. It's mostly, you want to try and cut through that dirt. The obvious thing to use to cut through the grout and mess is bleach.
Sometimes, you'll actually see grout turn orange. You can actually get that back to being white and the product to use would be bleach. If you find that Scotch Brite isn't working, then we sometimes use a Citrus Gallon.
That can obviously cut through a bit quicker than Scotch Brite. We may have instances where we have to use a scraper as well. That's for getting paint off and it helps get through the dirt as well, quicker because what we tend to do is try and work to a time frame, so we'll use whatever tool we can to get through the job as quick as possible.
