How To: Cleaning With Salt
Salt is one of the most common, inexpensive, and useful household products. Not only can it add flavour to just about any dish, but it can be used for cleaning, too! In fact, salt can be used to clean just about anything. From glassware to countertops, this video shows you what a difference one little pinch can make.
I'm going to show you how to clean with salt. Firstly, I'm going to show you how to clean with rock salt with a vase. As you can't get to the bit at the bottom, very hard to reach that is, rock salt comes in very useful.
What you need to do is put your rock salt in the bottom, only a few little grains, like that. Then fill it up with water and a little bit of detergent like that. And then, you can shake like that.
Spin it around and the salt will get all into the little grooves inside without damaging, because it's a natural product. Then just empty it, like that, and all the inside is nice and clean. Then just rinse off, like that, and all the inside is lovely and sparkling.
Another way you can use salt, just normal table salt, is if you got some really bad lime scale or some stubborn dirt you need to remove. Then, use your vinegar and lemon juice and sprinkle around, like that, over the area, covering all the bits you want to clean. And then, with the salt, just pour gently over the stain.
This is a lot tougher and will be used as an abrasive to get rid of all your lime scale. And because it's natural, it won't scratch or damage and will remove all your little dirt there and lime scale. And then, rinse off like that.
Good. And that's how you use salt in cleaning! .
