This video is going to show you how to clear your browser's cookies and ensure the companies are not keeping information of what you do online. We are going to start by explaining how to clear cookies on Internet Explorer 8. First of all, go to Ctrl+Shift+Delete.

Make sure that you select temporary internet files and cookies. You may also want to clear your history at this point. Then, click delete.

Now, we are going to show you how to clear cookies on Firefox. Once your browser is open, select Tools menu, click Clear Recent History. Select a time frame from the time range to clear drop down menu.

If you also want to clear your cache, make sure that it is selected as well. Finally, click Clear Now. There might be some websites that you are using rightly, that you are very happy to allow the company to put cookies on your machine, so when you go to delete the cookies, make sure that if there is any cookies from sites you like, like may be Amazon or Ebay, you leave those cookies in place.

However, you should be able to tell which one is all real because then we use the exact company name such as amazon.com. So, in order to remove specific cookies that you do not want to have on your machine that are tracking your activity, go to the Tools menu, click on Page Info, click on Security and then View Cookies.

Remove any search that might be in your search box and then have a look through the list of names. You can see here you got some well-known companies like BBC, Amazon and Sage and you might be quite happy for these companies to be tracking your activities online. However, there might be some unheard-of companies here and you do not know what these people are tracking you so what you should do is highlight that folder and then click remove cookies.

This allows you to stay in control of who is monitoring what you are doing online and no half information about the websites you are visiting passed to advertisers and other fair parties so they can sell you product which you might know what. I am also going to show you how to remove cookies from your computer if you are a Google Chrome user. Chrome is Google's web browser.

It is becoming increasingly popular; you can see that we have loaded it up here. So, once your browser is open, press Ctrl+Shift+Delete. Ensure that delete cookies is selected.

Then, click Clear Browsing Data. Alternatively, you can click this panel icon in the top left, select clear browsing data and repeat previous steps and that is how you clear cookies. .
