- Temp:
- 170° c - 340° f
Ingredients
- butter
- olive oil
- salt
- pepper
- 1 beef tenderloin steak
Method
Tie your tenderloin around the middle with string to stop is coming apart when you cook it. Wrap the tenderloin in cling film and leave it in the fridge overnight. When you take it out of the fridge to cook it the next day it will be a perfect shape.
Take the beef out of the cling film and season it with black pepper and salt. Heat a little olive oil and butter in a frying pan, then brown the beef on all sides.
Once browned on all sides, cook the beef in the oven at 170 degrees for about 20 minutes.
Remove the beef from the oven, cut the string off, and let it rest for about 6-7 minutes before serving.
