Guys, my way of how to cook Basmati rice. I've got a pan of boiling water, I've got my Basmati rice ready. It's all been washed off.

I've taken all that starch off, I'm not messing around. In my water, I've got a bit of lemon juice to give it a bit of flavor. I'll add some salt in there to create some fire in the water, to get it going and to get the rice nice and evenly cooked.

So I'm just waiting for my water to come to boil. Get that salt in there. That oxidizes the water, gets it to temperature for my rice to go in there, do its job and come out, be refreshed and that's it.

I don't want my rice to be over cooked. So I want it in a nice ferocious, hot boiling water, that's what I want. So my rice, my salt is in there, and like I said my lemon is in there and I'm waiting now for my water to come to boil.

And then I put my rice in. So come back to my rice, guys, I'm just going to check it now. Just check that.

Perfect. We are going to come back now and literally just drain it off in my little colander now. Nice and fluffy.

Just how I want it. If I was in my restaurant and if I didn't need it today or I wanted it for tonight then I would refresh it, I'd run it under cold water. That's what I would do.

If at the end of the day we are going to sit down now, we are going to eat it now, nice and hot. Absolutely fantastic, just drain it off well, nice and fluffy. My little lemon in there, just to flavor it.

Absolutely fantastic. Nice and fluffy, well cooked. You know, crispy.

Just falls off there and that will compliment any dish, any curry dish. If you're doing a Tandoori chicken or Rogan Josh or any kind of meat that involves a sauce, absolutely fantastic and that's how I cook my Basmati rice. .
