How To Cook Beets

Ingredients
- 570 ml water
- 140 ml vinegar
- olive oil
- pepper
- salt
- 6 beetroots
Method
Put your beetroots in a pan with 1 pint (570 ml) of water and 1/4 pint (140 ml) of vinegar. Bring to the boil, then simmer for one hour and a quarter.
Let them get cold in the pan, then peel them.
You can make a quick salad with them by cutting them up, then adding a little olive oil, a little fresh thyme and some salt and pepper.
