Ingredients

  • brown rice
  • salt

Method

Bring a pan of water to the boil on the stove, then add a pinch of salt. Add the brown rice to the boiling water, approximately 50 g per person.

Give the rice a stir as it comes back up to the boil, then turn it down and let it simmer for about 25-30 minutes.

When it is cooked to your taste, drain it.

If you want to keep the rice warm, sit it in a colander over the pan, with a tea towel between the top of the rice and the lid of the pan. This will keep it warm, whilst stopping it from going soggy.
