How To Cook Long Grain Rice

Step 1: Rinse
- 4 cups (1000ml) basmati rice
- 4 cups (1000ml) water
- 2 tbsp butter
Step 2: Boil
In a large pot, pour approximately 1 cup (250 ml) water for ever 1 cup of rice. Allow the water to cover the rice an additional inch. Turn the heat to high and bring to a rolling boil.
Step 3: Simmer
Once boiling, cover with a lid and turn the heat down to the lowest setting. Allow the rice to simmer for approximately 15 to 20 minutes. At the end of 20 minutes, turn off the heat and remove the rice from the hot burner. Let it stand an additional 5 to 10 minutes.
Step 4: Season And Serve
Add 2 tbsp butter and stir thoroughly. You can add any seasonings you like. The rice will become light and fluffy as you stir. Serve the rice in a bowl with your favorite dish or as a main course. Serve hot and Enjoy!

The easiest way by far to cook long grain rice is to do all of the above video but take it off the heat and cover the whole pan with foil leave for about five minutes and thats it perfectly cooked rice.Enjoy!!
