How To Cook Sirloin Steak
A perfectly cooked sirloin steak is difficult to beat. Learn how to get the classic steakhouse style lattice and serve a steak that's succulent and pink on the inside. Cooked on a griddle pan and rubbed with butter, this is simply cooked steak at its best.

Ingredients
- 1 sirloin steak, tenderised
- 1/2 tsp butter
Step 1: Heat the pan
Heat a griddle pan to a very high temperature, without putting any fat on it.
Step 2: Add the Steak
Put the steak on the griddle pan and leave it for about 30 seconds, then turn the steak by 90 degrees and cook for another 30 seconds. Turn the steak over and cook for 30 seconds, then turn by 90 degrees and cook for a final 30 seconds.
Step 3: Rest
Place the cooked steak on a board and leave it to rest for about 2-3 minutes; this will help to make the steak tender.
Step 4: Serve
Rub the butter over the steak and serve either whole or sliced.
