Ingredients

  • 1 sweet potato
  • 1 butter
  • 1 milk
  • salt
  • pepper

Method

To make mashed sweet potato, start by peeling your potatoes; then, with a knife, remove any imperfections or bashes on the potato.

Cut into even sized pieces, to ensure all the pieces cook at the same time, then boil for 4-6 minutes on the hob.

When the potatoes are soft, drain them and return them to the pan. Add a little butter, salt and pepper and milk, and mash to a rough paste with a fork.
