So now, I am going to show you how to cook White Quinoa. Cooking Quinoa is really very simple actually and it only takes around 15 to 20 minutes. So, all you need to do is make sure that you have some hot water and your stock, and that is all you need.

So what you need to do is now get your hot water and then pour it into the pan so you put the heat on, make sure it is on a high heat and pour the water in. So, you want to make sure is that you have enough water just to cover the top, so it just covers the top of the Quinoa. Right, so what I am now going to do is add the stock.

Now, I am using a bouillon powder which is a reduced salt version but you can get these in a number of versions. You can also get them yeast free as well, if you are sensitive to yeast. You can also use other stock; you can use stock cubes if you like.

So, all you need for this amount of Quinoa, for about 1 to 2 people, is roughly about one teaspoon, a heaped teaspoon, I would say, and then you just pop that in and then what you do is just cover that and then what you want to do is make sure you leave that, give that a bit of a stir, actually. Then, leave that to dissolve so you keep that boiling for a couple of minutes and then once that is dissolved, what you do is add the Quinoa. So, just leave that to boil for a couple of minutes.

So once your water is boiling and the stock has dissolved into the water, what you need to then do is add your Quinoa. So what you want to do is just add in your Quinoa, and then what you need to do now is give that a stir. Right, bring that to the boil and once that is boiled and then you leave that to simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes.

So after 20 minutes or so, check on your Quinoa come back to it and you will know it has been cooked because after 20 minutes, it will be nice, white and fluffy and it will have absorbed all the water. So you just check it, you can see here, doubled its size, doubled in quantity and now, all you have to do now is serve it. And that is how you cook white Quinoa. .
