How To Cook Yams
Matt Kemp from the Underground Cookery School shows you how to cook sweet potato two ways. Enjoy your sweet potato baked or deep fry them into a lovely vegetable crisp.

Ingredients
- sweet potato
- olive oil
- thyme
- salt
- black pepper
Step 1: Season the Yams
Peel and slice the sweet potato. Add to a tray. Add some olive oil, salt, black pepper and thyme.
Step 2: Bake the Yams
Place in the oven at 170C for 20-25 minutes. Turn the potatoes halfway through cooking.
Step 3: Or Make Sweet Potato Crisps
Thinly slice a separate sweet potato into crisps. Add to a flash fryer and cook for about 25 seconds.
