How To Create A Facebook Group

On Facebook, you have the ability to set up groups. Now, there might be a few reasons you want to do that. You might be part of a PTA at your school, you might be part of a charity where you want to be able to get in touch with all the people involved in that charity, so Facebook group enables you to keep in touch with each other and I'm going to show you how to create one.

Now, to create a Facebook group, you first need to go to the homepage of your Facebook. And if you go to the homepage of your Facebook account, you will see a list of groups on your left hand side if you're already a member of some groups and below the groups, there is a link that says "More". And when you click on More, there is an option that says "Create Group".

Click on that link and a new window will be loaded onto your screen. Think of the name for your group. Choose the name of the people you want to add.

Now, what Facebook does is very clever, what we have to do is start typing in the names of the people you want to be members of your group. You can invite people that you're already friends with. So just type in the name of somebody and they will automatically come up.

Click on the name and they've been added. Now, you need to choose the level of privacy of your group. For example, it may be quite confidential information that you share with people so you need to have a closed group.

On the other hand, it might be society where you want to invite lots and lots of people to join that you're very happy to accept anybody. So choose the status of the group where it's open or closed, and then click on "Create". Your group is now set up.

You can see the name of your group there and it looks a bit like your Facebook home screen except this is the home screen of your group and then you can share status updates as you will have been in a normal Facebook. All I will do is actually go and make your group page a little bit more interesting. First thing I will do is actually change the photograph.

Choose the file. Select the photograph or picture from your computer and you can upload that, and you're done! And now you set up your Facebook group, you can start sending updates to your friends. .
