Think a beehive is too hard? Try a half-up beehive instead. This video from VideoJug will show you the technique to creating this unique style.
So, what we're going to do is just section through the middle there. You can actually use different sections if you want. You can use the side section, you know, whichever one you want, but this is your classic kind of beehive look.
So you're taking a section through the middle here and then you need to take kind of a triangular section just off the middle and just pick it up and what you're going to have to do is you're going to have to put some back combing in. When you're back combing, just back comb through the back area so you don't make the front too messy. I'll show you how.
Then, you take your second section and you're going to do the same thing. You're going to really back comb that and then one more section through the back. Okay, now you take just another section through the sides and you want to do the same thing.
You want to just back comb that area and then the same thing on this side. Once you've back combed that center bit through here, just use a little bit of spray and then just really lightly brush over the top, making sure just that top of your hair is nice and smooth. You have all the back combing underneath so that will give you your body.
So once you've done that, you just push up that back area here just looking in the mirror to make sure it's nice and even or as even as you can possibly do. Okay, so once you have it into position, just get your grips and you just slide your grips to hold it in place and then cross your grips and just slide it in the other way. Once you've done your center section, you can start through the sides.
You do a section down the sides to the back of the ear. So what we're doing with this last section here, we're just brushing it back nice and easy over the ear, looking in the mirror, and then we're going to pin it through the back with a grip and then once again using your hairspray just to finish it off. Again, you can have this as rough as you want.
It doesn't have to be perfect. I mean, especially when you're doing it yourself at home, you know, it's not going to be perfect. As long as you know the technique of how to do it and which sections to take, then it makes it a lot easier.
You can also play with the last pieces that you have through the back. Once again, give it a pin. And there you have a half-up beehive. .
