How To Create A Natural Daytime Look

This is a subtle make-up look that can be worn easily in the daytime and topped up throughout the day, so follow VideoJug's guide to creating a natural daytime look. This is a subtle make-up look that can be worn easily in the daytime and topped up throughout the day, so follow VideoJug's guide to creating a natural daytime look.

Step 1: You will need

Step 2: Tinted Moisturiser

Apply tinted moisturiser all over your face. This is a great alternative to foundation for the daytime as it is lightweight but still provides coverage. It has an SPF which means it also offers your skin protection from the sun's UV rays.

Step 3: Concealer

Put a few dots of light reflecting concealer under your eyes and blend lightly with your fingers. It contains light reflecting pigments that manipulate the light and create flattering shading effects to obscure imperfections.

Step 4: Bronzer

Dip a large make-up brush in some bronzer and tap off the excess. Dust lightly over your cheeks, just below the cheekbone. Then apply to the chin, forehead and eyelids to mattify any shiny areas on your skin and give your face a sun kissed glow.

Step 5: Mascara

Add a coat of black mascara to your eyelashes.
Move your hand in a zig zag motion from the roots to cover every individual lash. Then run the tip of the brush along the lower lashes to separate them.

Step 6: Lip gloss

Finish the look with a slick of clear lip gloss.

my ultimate one-step makeup is my eyebrows. usually that's it. i only found out a few months ago how doing my eyebrows makes me look polished and sophisticated. on some days, i'll wear mascara and at the weekend, i go crazy with eyeliner and eyeshadow in bright colours. but without eyebrows, everything looks BLAH.

instead of spending money on tinted moisturizers and foundation, just dilute the foundation with an sun blocking moisturizers to the amount of coverage you want.
