How To Create Dark T Shirt Transfers

Hi! My name is Lalji Varsani from Crystals R Us. Today, we will show you various aspects of how to apply iron on items. Now, I'll teach you how to create dark t-shirt transfers.

Simply create a design using any design softwares. You can use Paint, Photoshop, Corel Draw, there are many on the market. When creating your design, you need to remember that when printing on dark t-shirts, you can't have any white background on the image.

So, please add a bit of color if you want just add a touch of cream or anything like that to the background. Once you're happy with the design, place the dark transfer paper on to your inkjet printer. And before printing on the transfer paper, make sure that all the inks are running and that they're not dried up.

So I would recommend printing the design on a normal A-4 paper just to make sure all colors are working properly. Once you've done your test run, place your dark iron on transfer paper into the printer and then simply press “Print” and you should have your custom design ready to be ironed on to a dark t-shirt. Once your design is printed, you can see that there is some white border around the edge.

I just don't want this to be applied on to the t-shirt, so I will cut around the image. Before ironing the transfer on to the t-shirt, you need to allow 30 minutes for the ink to dry, otherwise when applying onto the t-shirt, your ink will and will ruin your design. Once it's dried, peel off your design.

Simply peel this off. And now you can apply this directly onto a dark t-shirt. Simply place it on a flat surface.

Place your design on top. Place the design on top of the t-shirt and then use the heat resistant sheet and place that on top and then apply the iron. Make sure you have the sheet on top, otherwise you may burn the transfer, or even worse, your t-shirt.
