Step 1: Launch iTunes

Double-click the iTunes icon on your desktop to launch the program.

Go to the Edit menu on your desktop, select Preferences, and wait for a dialog box to open.

Step 2: Crossfade

Click on the Playback icon at the top of the dialog box.

Click the checkbox next to Crossfade Playback. You can adjust the time of the crossfade by sliding the cursor left or right on the fader.

Click OK when you're done fine tuning your crossfade.

Pretty smooth.
