How To Curl Hair With A Flat Iron

Think curls are out of the question just because you do not have a curling iron? This VideoJug film will teach you how to create curls using your flat iron.

This is how you curl hair with a flat iron. You need a flat iron that is not really wide. It has to be a medium thickness one.

You are going to take a section of hair; I am going to do a section that is about an inch thick and an inch and a half wide. It is really important to use heat protective spray. You need to use the spray to help keep the curl in place and also to help protect the hair against the iron.

So we are just going to spray that through the section. Make sure your section is really smooth. So, I am going to use my comb.

Put your flat iron in the area. What you do now is you twist it at 180 degrees and you pull slowly. Now, the slower you pull and the smaller the section, the curlier your hair will be.

If you want larger curls, you take larger sections and you pull the iron through a little bit quicker. So we are kind of doing a medium sort of curl in this area. We are going to take it right through, make sure to go to the ends, go right towards the ends.

We are going to twist it up a little bit and then release, and you can see you have got that almost sausage effect in there, and what you can do now is you can sort of break that up and you have created your curl. I am going to do one through the top now and it is going to be a little bit bigger curl and a little bit quicker. Use the heat protection spray again.

Put your flat iron in, you twist 180 degrees and we are going to pull through a little bit quicker. In this case, you create a little bit more, just a loose volume and a little bit of curl on the ends. That is how you create curls using a flat iron. .
