I'm Rudy and I work for Sono Tags. Sono Tags works for different denim jeans brands around the world as consultants and has a store in London. We're going to show you how to look after jeans and get the best from them.

I'm going to show you how to cut jeans. Basically, the initial first thing is obviously safety and also make sure you have the right equipment this is drape scissors this is for cutting fabric and so on, please don't use the basic house hold scissor. So, first of all making sure that you have the right length measured out in this case, we're going to cut the bottom off the jean to hem it, and in that reason, we need to make sure that they have already shrunk or any creasing that happens behind the knees on the pair of jeans.

So in particular, we have actually measured out that we need 2 inches taken off so from the bottom of the hem, we have actually measured 2 inches there, we measure across now in this case, we need to have some allowance for the fold on the inside to make a second measurement an inch below. Now, one of the things that is very important that if you are going to have 2 pieces of fabric, you can't, they are lined together and in this case, they are not so we're going to bring it back in line hold it in place and very very carefully cut through making sure it stays in line and making sure the fingers are well out of the way because these scissors are obviously very very sharp. So, that's the cut made.

I'll go ahead and hem the jeans now. That is how you cut a pair of jeans. .
