How To Deal With A Sore Gum

How To Deal With A Sore Gum: VideoJug user Interlac shows you how to care for your gums if a sore spot develops. Learn how to deal with a sore gum properly
-
Step 1:
-
Trapped Food
-
If a sore spot has developed on your gum, it's possible that a pocket has developed there and food has become trapped inside the pocket even though you're conscientious about using your dental floss and the two kinds of toothbrushes.
If food becomes trapped, it's possible for bacteria to grow, and the soreness can become serious and endanger the health of the tooth.
-
Step 2:
-
Food Debris
-
In order to remove any food debris that has become empacted in the pocket, it's necessary to use a special technique with the dental floss, which I will demonstrate.
-
Step 3:
-
Dental Floss
-
You can take a regular stretch of dental floss, and if you wrap it around your two index fingers as usual. Then, for the upper teeth, you stretch the dental floss between a thumb and a third finger on the right side here, or a thumb and this third finger on the left side. For the lower, we need to stretch it between two middle fingers.
So, I'll demonstrate with a spot between the two upper teeth on the left side, and I stretch the dental floss between the third finger of the right hand and the thumb of the left hand, and I get up in there and I push up against the gum where it's sore, and get the dental floss behind the food debris, and then scrape downwards.
Then I keep doing this until there's no food debris left to dental floss.
