waxing hair does not make it thicker, neither does shaving it. when you shave hair, it appears thicker because you have cut the tapered top off the hair, leaving the thicker "trunk" at the bottom to grow longer. waxing can actually thin hair over time,and may not grow back, because you are pulling it out from its "root" lol sorry i dont know technical terms at this time.

Actually you are wrong. I know people try to say it's myth that it make's the hair grow back thicker, but it does! I have been to one of the best salon where I live to ask about facial hair problems. I told the therapist that the hair on m top lip had definitely grown back thicker after waxing. She said it does cut the tapered end off making it feel slightly courser at first, but then after a while; especially with shaving, it WILL grow back thicker. Waxing can weaken hair, but it depends.

waxing doesn't make it thicker, but it can change the direction of the hair growth. You can disagree with me, but this is my own experience. After years of watching my mom do it I decided to wax my entire face. I regret it everyday. The fine hairs come back longer now and I now HAVE to have it done monthly, chin hairs are the least of my issues now :(

i used to wax on the upper lip, and had terrible experiences. After the second time my skin was ripped off with the hair, I quickly start looking for an alternate method. I now do threading, and it is absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend threading for shaping the eyebrows and upper lip.

Why is it so important that women's faces are or look hair-free? Who has the power to say so? Why do we "buy" these ideas and spend our money on products that cause us pain or ill- health? The "Jolen"/ lightening cream contains peroxide, a substance related to cancer growth. How come we are so well informed about looking "good" but not informed enough about how these products affect our bodies and our health? Once a fine hair is pulled out, it is replaced by terminal hairs, that will keep growing back. So much about permanent hair removal.

if your hair is light hair,don't touch it..eventually you'll notice they disappear.if they are not that light but a bit darker,try not touching it cause they might diasppear as you grow up too..when it makes you really uncomfortable and feel ashamed of it,wax them off.but remember,if you wax them once,they won't disappear ever again,and you will have to deal with stronger hair every time you wax.if it's really peach fuzz as your mom says,it's better you leave them alone for a couple more years;)

hey frnds, i need ur advice. when i was young, i used to hate hairs visible when i used to c myself in the mirror but bcuz i had an immature mind i used to use razors to remove them and then after some time in my life without knowing the consequences i even did shave my whole face!! but i did only 2-3 times, thank god otrwise it wud hv been a huge trouble. but it's been many years i've stopped doin these things and i just use threading to thread my upper lips and eyebrows (since i have grown up), and now i'm noticing facial hair quite visible on my side burns and coming upto cheeks, so should i go for hot wax? i'v heard that u'll hv to go regularly for hot waxing and within a year or two ur hair will stop growing, is that true? if yes then please let me know in detail about sittings of hot wax, bcuz i think tht's the only best way to get rid of hair, i've also heard tht actresses use this method to keep their skin shining and free of facial hair & dead cells.

I have used nads. After years of hot wax roller I wish I had found nads before. It works for me, I have a light coloured growth round my mouth but it is quite thick. Its so easy to use the strips cold and you can do it on a moment's whim without having to wait for the wax to heat up. Use talcum first on the skin.
