Step 3: Lie down
Lie down on a bed and try different resting positions to ease the pressure on the diaphragm
Step 4: Try the paper bag method
Hiccups may stop if you temporarily increase the bodies' carbon dioxide level. This can be done by using the paper bag method.
The bag needs to be sealed around the nose and mouth so that expired breath is breathed in again. This should be done by alternating around 10 breaths into and out of the bag, followed by breathing without a bag for 15 seconds. Don't overdo the bag breathing in case carbon dioxide levels rise too high and oxygen levels fall too low causing other more serious medical problems.
If the hiccups are prolonged, they can become tiring and painful. If they have not stopped after a few hours, you should seek medical advice.

This has cured the hiccups of everyone I have given this advice to. Good Luck........
You might want to try drinking a glass of water from the far end of a glass - the furthest edge from your face. The stretching and swallowing action gets rid of my hiccups. 1. Bend over the glass of water 2. Move your lips over the rim and drink from the glass pointed away from you, while leaning forward. Sip only slowly from the front facing rim of the glass. 3. Repeat as necessary - you will probably spill some! 3. You
