How to deal with loneliness. Many people in their lives experience loneliness at some time or another. Some people experience loneliness all the time, others rarely.

But pretty much, most people have had some sort of experience of it. It's not very nice. To feel lonely can be isolating, can cause illness, and really have a lot of negative effects.

And really, there's no need to ever feel lonely. If you're feeling lonely, one of the ways that you can do to combat this is to go out and actually make an effort. And it sometimes is an effort to connect perhaps with people you don't know, and try and find someone who's lonely and help them.

One of the best ways for us to get rid of something is to give that very thing, support, to someone else. So, for example, if you're feeling particularly lonely in your life, by befriending someone and helping someone, perhaps that you don't know, this will be the fastest way to get rid of loneliness in your life. The important thing is that we can connect with anyone at any time if we choose.

There are billions of people on this planet, and we can literally say hello, make contact and begin some sort of journey with another person at any point. It's entirely a choice point and you can go out and begin to eradicate your feeling of loneliness by connecting with someone else or simply having a walk out in nature and just notice what's growing around you. And have a sense of all the abundance of stuff that's around.

Begin with a feeling of gratitude for things that you can see, things that you can look forward to, and begin to build a better feeling inside. Loneliness is really a state of being. It isn't an accurate description of life as it needs to stay.

One thing to feel in mind, if you're feeling lonely, is that everything moves and changes in life. You may be feeling lonely today, but you can change this. You do have the power and everything changes moment by moment.

And you have the opportunity and the power to make changes in your life and to feel differently.
