Ingredients
- pink modelling paste
Step 1: Create The Assembling Pieces
Taking the modelling paste, use only your hands to roll the paste into a nice sausage shape. Once the paste is rolled into a nice long sausage shape, use a sharp kitchen knife to chop the sausage-shaped paste into four small segments.
Step 2: Flatten The Pieces
Taking three of these pieces, roll up three small balls into roughly the size of Maltesers, and with the fourth segment, create a small stump. Placing these pieces onto one side, align these pieces aside each other with a decent amount of space in between each, and fold them up in this paper, pulling the other side over the pieces. Using the palm of your hand first, gently flatten these pieces through the paper.
Step 3: Form The Core Of The Rose
Take the flattened stump shaped piece and roll it up slowly in your hand, rolling it into itself nice and tightly.
Step 4: Attach The Petals
Taking one of the circular flat shapes, gently press it against the spiral-like stump, with one end open and resting away from the stump, and the other side pressed tightly to the stump. Repeat this process with the other two pieces, making sure the pressed side of the next circle rests underneath the open side of the previous one. Do the same with the third piece. Now you should have the stump, which will form the core of the rose, evenly wrapped with these circular shaped pieces of paste.
Step 5: Form The Rose
Gently pinch and squeeze the rose bud in a circular motion all the way around the bud about half way down the circular shaped pieces. Now very gently pull the tops of the petals outward so that they sprout outward just like natural blossoming rose petals.
