So remember these few tips, first call 999, you will then speak to a controller who will talk you through the process of what you need to do.
But you may find that because labor has progressed so quickly that the woman is at the pushing stage before anything else has happened. Simply allow her to trust her body, don't panic, find towels to keep her and the baby warm, as soon as the baby out. If you can switch heating on, switch heating on.
its important that they don't lose heat once the baby born.
Position yourself to catch the baby because the baby head will come and the baby will turn and then the body will slide out. Simply catch the baby, they're very slippery, try not to drop it.
If you see the cord around the baby neck, use your thumb hook the cord and take it over. Don't worry about the placenta, the placenta is fine. By the time you've done these things the paramedics should be at the door.
