How To Determine How Many Hair Extensions Are Needed

Hi. Today, I would like to explain to you how to determine how many hair extensions are needed. Basically, the main thing you have to bear in mind is the current length of your hair.

If someone's hair is slightly below the shoulders, like on our model right now, I wouldn't recommend going to 24 inches which would be at her waist line, basically. I would recommend maybe extending it up 6, 7 or 8 inches maximum. If she would like to go just for thickness and she wouldn't need any length, she just wants to create volume, then I would say half-head which is about 60 extensions is enough to achieve that look.

If she would like to go slightly longer and get it 3 to 4 inches longer than her own hair, then we could put three-quarter head of extensions and achieve perfect length and volume. That's about 90 to 100 hair extensions. If she decides to go really long, and that's also possible, I wouldn't sort of recommend to go a lot longer than 22 inches.

But if she wants to go longer, we have to do a full head of hair. If someone's hair is very fine and they don't have a lot of hair, it would be very difficult to feed too many extensions in and that's why the look with very long hair extensions wouldn't probably work on them because it just wouldn't be enough space to feed in all these hair extensions which will help us to achieve that length and thickness all the way down. There are all different ways to establish how many extensions I needed, but the main draw is base.
