How To Dirty Jeans
The right ways to give you that dirty jean or vintage look that you have been looking for made easy.
I'm Rudy and I work for Sonofastag. Sonofastag works for different denim jeans brands around the world as consultants and owns a store in London. We're going to show you how to look after your jeans and get the best from them.
I'm going to show you how to dirty jeans, really the reason why people want to dirty their jeans is to make them look authentic and vintage. This is a pair we have from the archives from the Lee Company, this was made in Japan especially for them and as you can see, they're made to look vintage. This is a replica, it's got some paint marks and it's got some blemishes and it's got some dirtiness going on.
So if you have a new pair of jeans, ones that have been washed down and you want to make them dirty, obviously the real way of doing it is to work in them, get under your car, get under your motor bike. If you're a girl, you want to help your boyfriend mend some things and hopefully get some greasy hands and put them on your jeans, of course, a pair that is going to give you the best results. You can cheat a little bit, you could put some paint marks on them and so on, you could get some oil but try not to put the oil in one spot, you need to really dirty your hands or get a pair of gloves, rub them down where you want them dirtied.
Don't put them at the bottom or on your leg where you would not actually touch if you were working on your car. The other area's to look at are the knees and normally the top section of the jeans where you want and the back of your bums where you've been sitting around in mud or so on in those rural areas. Get a little paint if you want, but be very very careful and thoughtful of where you're going to dirty your jeans if you're going to use stuff like oils resistant to being washed off so easy and also paints.
And that is how you dirty your jeans. .
