Hey guys! I' a BMX Flat Lander, my name is Mario and I ride for Team Extreme and I'm going to be showing you some BMX tips and hints. We're going to show you how to do a BMX stunt. Now you've got you fundamentals down, what will happen is we're going to move it up a notch.

Now the next trick is quite a nice looking trick. It can be done anywhere that is flat or even in a small space so it's a really nice stunt trick to have. It's called a boomerang, the reason being a boomerang comes back to you where as you comes back to the bike with this trick.

You will go around in a circle in the bike and you will land back on the pedals and you will ride away. I'll show you what it looks like. That's your basic boomerang.

For this trick you need to roll at a medium speed and what you are going to do is, a lot of it is in your body weight. It's in your shoulders, you're going to be holding yourself up so can you imagine holding on to a brand doing that. if you can do that for quite a while then your virtually on your way to doing a boomerang.

The first step to this trick is to stand, approach the trick on your back pegs, when you are ready you are going to use your right leg as a swing to give you momentum. So first of all just learn to do that. if you can learn to do that, you are halfway there.

Basically you swing your leg, you are going to put your front brake on and you are going to jump and just try to land here with the front brake on. Now, once you've got that front bit down, do that a few times, that will feel quite comfortable from just jumping brake on bang, to the floor. The next section to this trick is the hard bit; you actually have to let the brake off and roll.

It's called a flail boomerang because you are actually rolling. So to put the two together, you're going to come around and you're going to let the brake off when the bike gets to and the bars go 180, let the brake off. So you want to do that-- that will be your next section.

Do that a good few times and roll in to it. Now the last section is the hairy bit, you need to land it. So I always have my opposite pedal quite low down so I can look to land on that pedal and ride away.

Now when you are rolling, you are going to be holding yourself up on the bars like this. You are going to be quite close to the bars but not actually touching them. You don't want to be like this, you want to be away from them, up above them.

Now as the bike is rolling, it will make the bike go in a circular motion and all the time that it is doing that, the bars will be edging, they will be doing this. You will feel it. Now when you see your pedals in sight you are going to snap the last bit of the movement so you are going to force the momentum from that leg, as it comes around your body will follow.

It's going to twist into it, the bike is going to snap, so eventually you would be landing like that and the last bit is just to look to land on the pedal and then ride away. This takes a little bit of practice but once you get used to doing the roll it does become easier so just spot your pedal, try and land on it and then ride away. And that's how to do a BMX stunt.
