How To Do A Body Wave
The wave is one of the most iconic moves in body popping, and one most people have probably seen somewhere before! In this step by step guide Julie Jade, professional hip hop instructor at the City Academy, shows you how to do it.
Top Tips
- Start with your arms flat out in front of you, then bend each part of your arm up and down in turn starting with your knuckles, and moving along until you get to your shoulders.
- Move from the arms to the body wave by dropping your shoulders and expanding your chest, then deflating your chest and rolling your body.
- Once you have done the wave all the way to your heels, do the whole thing in reverse ending with your arms.
