How To Do A Chakra Balancing Meditation

A beginner's guide to meditation using chakras in which you are guided through how to bring your awareness to each chakra while visualising a specific colour and making specific sounds.
So, now, maybe you've tried the chakra meditation, you might be interested in maybe going a little more advanced, and doing what I call a chakra balancing meditation. This is very similar to the last chakra meditation, except that there's a little more detail involved in the actual meditation. This detail is very simple.
It involves visualising a colour in each of the chakras while you are sounding. There is also the opportunity to change where your awareness is. So when you're coming up the front of the body, your awareness is on the front, and when you are going down the chakras, your awareness can be on the back.
And if you really want to balance those chakras, then you can also throw in an extra - take it to top gear - and while you're visualising the colour, you can visualise the colour expanding outwards. So, let me very quickly go through the seven chakras. You're probably familiar with the locations of the chakras now, and we'll talk a little bit about the colours that you can visualise in each of the chakras.
So, in the root chakra - the first chakra - the colour is red and the sound that you're going to make there is 'oh'. In the second chakra, the colour is orange, and the sound that you're going to make there is 'oh'. In the third chakra, the colour that you're going to visualise there is yellow, and the sound that you're going to make there, you may remember, is 'mar mar mar'.
In the fourth chakra, the colour is green, and, you may remember, the sound that you make in the fourth chakra is 'ah'. In the fifth chakra, the colour is blue, and the sound that you make there is 'aye aye'. In the sixth chakra, the colour is indigo.
Visualise that colour there, and the sound that you're making is 'ee'. Up in the crown chakra, the colour is purple, and the sound that you're making there is 'oom'. So, just to recap, as you're coming up the chakras, three breaths in each chakra, visualising the colour - red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet (you can remember them easily because they're the colours of the rainbow) - and making the sounding.
As you're coming up the chakras, hold your awareness at the front of the chakra, and when you're coming down the chakras, hold your awareness at the back of the chakra. And then, if you're ready to really amp it up, while you're visualising the colour in each chakra, imagine the colour expanding outwards as big as you'd like to take it. .
