In this video, a professional tap dancer will teach you the cramp roll, an ideal technique to end your tap dancing sequence with.
Another common tap step is the cramp roll. Step onto the ball of your foot, step onto the ball of your left foot, and then follow with the heel, the right heel, and then the left heel. So, that is, step onto the right, step onto the left, step the right heel down, step the left heel down.
You can do this on the left too, so step onto the left first, step onto the right, left heel, right heel. So that is up, up, down, down, up, up, down, down, up, up, down, down. A little bit faster, up, up, down, down, up, up, down, down, up, up, down, down, up, up, down, down.
Up, up, down, down, up, up, down, down, up, up, down, down. And on the left. And that's how to do a cramp roll.
I'm now going to show you how to put a cramp roll at the end of a sequence. Tap step heel toe, heel step pickup step, shuffle step, shuffle, cramp roll. That is, tap step heel toe heel step pickup step shuffle step shuffle cramp roll.
