How To Do A Halloween Face Painting

Halloween is a fun-loving time of the year where many people especially kids love to paint their faces and have a lot of fun.

Hello. My name is Kat Sinclair. I am a professional facepainter.

I've been painting for eight years. I'm going to show you some tips, tricks and techniques for doing your own face painting at home. I'm going to show you how to do some Halloween face painting and what you need to do is to have a look on the internet and see if you can find some pictures to do with Halloween.

Here, I've found some, so I've got a black cat, spider web, a pumpkin and I think we can use some of those elements to create a really good face painting design. So I'm going to show you how to put those altogether to create something fun. So what I'm going to start of with is a bit of a spooky base colour.

I'm going to start of with something that purpley and pinky, so look quite spooky. 'If you could just close your eyes for me.' So we're going to do purple over the eyelid and pink coming down on to the cheek and just dab it to sort of blend it into the skin so it doesn't look too harsh.

That's your base colour. And then the rest of this is going to be done with brushes. We're going to start of with the pumpkin and we'll use a little bit of the UV paint here.

To load up the nice bright UV orange and a pumpkin shape on the side of the face, I'll just colour that in. And I'm going to add a spooky cat shape. 'Can you turn your head a little bit more towards me?' So cats, when they are scared, they arch their backs like that, their feet and their tails go straight up and the head will be there which is sticking up.

Touch of spooky Halloween cat and then we'll have a bit of a spider web coming up here, just radiating up to the center point. And then the actual spider will drop down here. And this is the big fat body and then hairy legs.

You can use any pictures you like, just have a think about what you got to see on a Halloween face paint. And using a smaller brush, just going to add a little bit of detail to the pumpkin. It needs a green stork as well.

Use a little bit green and also some green for the cat's eyes. And some white to highlight some of that. Just adding highlights to the spider web and on the pumpkin as well.

And that's a Halloween face paint. .
