How To Do A Leg Curl With A Weight Machine

1. Pad at mid-calf
2. End of seat few inches back from knees
3. Secure top pad to keep legs stable when contracting
4. Curl legs under as far as you can

Step 1: Hamstring Workout
This is the leg curl machine. You will be working your hamstrings, which is the back of your legs.
Step 2: Pivotal Point
What you want to do to set up is have your ankle pad just above your ankle. You want the pivot point to be at your knees. This is where you are going to curling. When your knees bend you want to align with your pivot point.
Step 3: Leg Work
You also want to start with your thigh pad adjusted so it is sitting on your legs. You do not want it to be holding you in too much. You want it to be resting right on your legs. From here, you are going to be curling all the way under as far as you can, holding it, and slowly raising it back up.
Step 4: Breathing & Back Exercise
Keeping your lower back pressed into the back of the seat, and slowly raising it back up. As you curl under, you are exhaling. As you release back up, you are inhaling.
