How To Do A Nose Slide On A Skateboard
Nate Principato explains and demonstrates how to do a nose slide on his skateboard in this video. The nose slide is one of the more advanced skateboarding tricks demonstrated here. Nate briefly describes how to do a nose slide successfully in four easy steps. He explains the importance of where to place your feet on your skateboard as well as the common mistakes to watch out for so that you’re less likely to take a spill.
Step 1: Position
Place your feet in the Ollie position with your back foot on the tail and your front foot under the screws.
Step 2: 90 Degrees
Ollie and turn 90 degrees at the same time. Place the nose of your board onto the ledge.
Step 3: Slide
Lock in with your weight on the nose of the board. Make sure the pressure is minimal on the tail of the board.
Step 4: Get Off
Slide off the ledge and land on the screws of your board.
Make sure you put your tail on the whole way or your board will go dead. If you have too much speed, your board will just fly out from under you, and you'll have to save yourself.
