How to do a one handed jump on a motorcycle. If you have already become confident in jumping your motorcycle and you feel it's time to start doing tricks, a good trick to start with is the one handed jump. Now, I find that when you are approaching a jump and you are ready to do a trick, first thing is to try and practice it first.

Now, the way that I would do this with a one handed jump is when I go over the jump, first of all, I would let my hand just come loose on the handlebars. Not taking it all the way off, but just very, very slightly of the handlebars as I am jumping. You will need to get your hand back on the handlebars before you land the machine.

So, once you got used to doing that a few times, as you are flying over a jump and you are not having any adverse effects with the bike, nose diving or the front wheel coming up high, then you can start lifting your hand up a little bit higher, and the next time again, a little bit higher. Until you can get your hand right up into the air and you can wave to people standing next to the side of the track. You must get your hand back on the machine before you land.

So, firstly, again, start with your hand going loose, what we call a loose handed jump. The next time, you can raise your hand up a bit further and then if you feel more and more confident, then you can get your hand up in the air, and wave as you do in a motorcycle jump. But you must get your hand back on the bike before you land.

So let's go and try that now over some motocross jumps. .
