How To Do A Poker Chip Trick

Here's how to do a great poker chip trick. Kerri, I have three poker chips here and you're going to get a chance to win one of the chips. But first of all, you have to pick it.

So put your hand over one of the chips and put your other hand over one of the other chips. Okay, so that leaves us with this chip here and actually, I knew you were going to pick this chip, that's why you win it. Because it says on the back “Pick me” and if you check out the other two chips, they say absolutely nothing.

So, here's how to do this really easy trick. First of all, you need to find three poker chips of different colors or different values and on the back of one of them, use a permanent marker to write “Pick me”. And now, you can eliminate the chips until you always end up with the “Pick me” one.

So, there are three different situations here. The first one is that Kerri puts her hand over this “Pick me” chip, then it's easy because she's already picked that chip. But if she doesn't, we have to do something to make sure that she does.

So, let's say she places her hand over this one and let's say place your hand over one other chip. For example, here, so now we have to work out a way to get Kerri to choose this remaining chip. Here's what we do, we say, that eliminates this chip, we get rid of that one which leaves us with two.

Pick up your hand to choose a chip, pick up any hand. Now, because she's picked up this one, we said to choose a tip which means that we pretend that this one's the one that she chose. Does that make sense? Everything following along, great! So, anyway, we do it, we can always make sure that she chooses the chip that we want her to.

The other example would be that you picked both of these, just these two which leaves us with that one. Or she picks these two here, again, she just picks them by the hand. If she picks up this hand, we say that, that just leaves you with a chip under your hand which always ends as “Pick me”.

So, basically, every way you do it, you can always end up with the chip that says “Pick me” on it. So that's a really easy poker chip trick. .
