Jake Watt shows you how to perform the Pop Shuvit, both stationary and with momentum. Afterwards, you'll see how to combine and Ollie, Kickflip, and Pop Shuvit to perform an Aerial Flip.
Landing the Pop Shuvit. Basically, just the board turning 180, you're just going to scoop, you're just going to stay above it nicely, spot that 180, catch it with your front foot normally first. It's all in the back foot, really, so you're going to want to have your feet there.
I have mine quite on the back of the tail, and then, I'm just turning the board. Your front foot just gently guides it around but all the pop's in the back foot. Easier move, and again, like all flip tricks, they're easy with a bit of speed, bit of momentum.
To help that pop, you're going to want to have your Ollie good again. Just Pop Shuvit, just popping the board 180, you can do it without popping it. Yeah, it's just all in the feet, all in the legs.
Now, I'm going to show you how to do a Pop Shuvit with a bit of momentum, moving forward. Once you've mastered that, you can add like a little flick of the toes in, now making it do an Aerial Flip, which is going to be like that. So you need to have your Ollie good for that one, your Kickflip and your Pop Shuvit.
So if you've got your Ollie, your Kickflip, and your Pop Shuvit, and put them all together, you get your Aerial Flip of some description. Just play about, get used to popping the board, spinning it, and more will come from that. And that's how to do the Pop Shuvit.
