How To Do A Rock Fakie
Geoff Elise, skate instructor, teaches you how to do a rock fakie like a pro. He provides step-by-step instructions to make sure that you will be performing the rock fakie on a quarter pipe in no time.
This video is how to do a rock fakie. For this, you usually use a quarter pipe, like this one right here. The main step is have one foot on the tail, and your front foot, probably just before the bolts.
As you ride up and approach the top, a little bit of weight on the tail, just to lift the front wheels up, over the coping. And then, you apply weight to the front, push down and hopefully, the board will just come off, creating the rock. To get back in, reapply the weight to the tail end, you're going to just come back over the coping, and as soon as you're over, reapply the weight to the front, and hopefully the board will be nice and smooth, and you can move down and transition smoothly.
To recap on that one, you come up the quarter pipe, weight on the back, lifting at the top, weight on the front, pushing down the back, weight back on the back, and then weight back on the front. That is how you do a rock fakie! .
