How To Do A Side Bun Hairstyle
In this episode of Hair With Hollie Hollie Kiernan shows you how to do a side bun. This sophisticated hair style is perfect for weddings, proms or any kind of social occasion; and so easy too!
- 1 Hair Tie
- Kirby Grips
- 1 Tail Comb
- Curling Wand
Step 1: Backcomb The Hair
start with a deep side parting, using the arch of you brow as a guide. Backcomb the roots at the crown of your head to give the hair a bit more volume.
Step 2: Make The Ponytail
Pull the hair into a low side ponytail in line with the bottoms of your ears. Pin up the section of hair to the front of the ear for later.
Step 3: Clip The Hair Into The Bun
Split the ponytail into four sections and backcomb them, then roll them up towards the head and secure with kirby grips. Keep going in the same way until the hair tie is covered and you have used up all your hair.
Step 4: Curl And Pin The Front Section
Un-clip the front section of hair and curl it using a wand. Pin any shorter bits of hair which might still be loose. Lightly backcomb the curls and pin the to the bun. Finish with some hairspray to keep everything in place.
