How To Do A Side Ponytail

Hi. I'm Tina Farey, Editorial Director for the Rush Education Group. What I'll be demonstrating for you today is some editorial hair ups.

Okay, what I'm going to be demonstrating for you today is a really nice sleek side ponytail. So again, I've prepared the hair, washing the hair, then again using iron just to the ends just to really give it that nice and sort of sleek feel through the ends. Holding the hair to one side and then again using the Mason Pearson brush, we're just going to work by really combing the hair.

By using the Mason Pearson brush, it's got very soft bristles so what we can do is really kind of use quite a lot of sort of force with the brushing which allows us to get really really nice tight sleek ponytail. So then, working that through, and again using our elasticated curvy grips, we're going to work on top of the ponytail, inserting our end, working that around and again when we get halfway through, we're going to put the curvy grip along and through the top of the scalp. And that's how we get a nice side ponytail. .
