In this video, Jess will show you how to link the tap, step, heel, pickup and toe dig techniques together to create a travelling tap sequence.
A common travelling step in tap is the tap step heel. Tap by brushing the foot forward, step by putting the ball of your foot into the ground, finishing with the heel. Brush forward, tap, step heel.
Tap, step, heel. I'll show you on the side: tap, step, heel. You'll want to make sure, when you step, that your heel is off the ground, so you get a nice prominent heel sound.
Tap, step, heel. Tap step heel. You can do this travelling.
Tap step heel, tap step heel. And that is a tap step heel. I'm now going to link the tap step heel with the step pickup heel and the toe dig together.
So, here we go, tap step heel four times, step pickup heel three times, step pickup heel toe. That is: tap step heel, tap step heel, tap step heel, tap step heel, step pickup heel, step pickup heel, step pickup heel toe. And again: tap step heel, tap step heel, tap step heel, tap step heel, step pickup heel, step pickup heel, step pickup heel toe.
