How To Do A Thai Massage
From www.Free-Massage-Videos.com, 'How to do a Thai Massage' shows full body work on the leg area.
Step 1: The Thai Massage
In this massage video, I want to show you a simple relaxation massage that you can do on the bed. For those of you who do not like to work on the floor and also don't have a massage table, this is a great alternative. This massage is great after a hard day at work and right before going to sleep.
Step 2: The Benefits Of The Massage
The massage technique that is used is compression, which means alternating pressure and release. The compression forces fluid out of the tissue, relaxes the muscles, and the release brings the fluid back. It works similar to a sponge. It is beneficial for the venus and lymph flow, helps to remove waste products in the muscle, and activates the meridians.
Step 3: The First Technique
Start with the person lying on the back and perform compression from the foot up to the hip. Try to get more and more outward rotation of the leg but never overdo it. Keep your hands soft, your arms straight, and use your body weight. Be careful on bony areas.
Step 4: The Second Technique
Then, bend the left leg and open the hip. Use your hand and thigh for support. You can also do this technique by standing next to the bed and putting your thigh under the partner's knee. Gradually increase the stretch of the inside of the thigh, but never overstretch the area.
Step 5: The Third Technique
To do this same technique on the other side, you can use a pillow or a rolled-up towel. Make sure that the hip on the opposite side is not lifting up, because that means that the stretch is too far, and the body is not well supported anymore. Alternatively, you can also sit on the bed and use your thigh to support the partner's leg.
