There are really hundreds of ways of meditating coming from many different wisdom traditions but I am just going to give you a very quick beginner's way to get you going. Sometimes, it's nice to focus in on just one of the chakras. In this case, maybe we could focus here on the third eye, the sixth chakra. Maybe because you are looking for bringing more spirit into your life, having more of a connection with more than just yourself, connecting with all that is, so to bounce the third eye, a nice meditation to do is to make the sound ?e? in that point, to imagine the colour indigo at that point, and to hold your awareness just in the third eye region and as you are doing the sounding and holding your awareness there, allow the sense to expand, allow the colour to expand and just be with it for as long as you feel caught to it to be with it. See what happens and notice how you feel before and notice how you feel afterwards. Something like this. So, just to recap what I did, held my awareness there in the third eye and I made the sound ?e?. Try to have a very definite sense of resonating up in this area and I imagined the colour expanding out from that point.
