This video shows how to do the arm wave. With these three steps, the key is to keep your movements as fluid as possible.
In this video, I'm going to teach you how to do the wave in simple steps. The wave is a style of pop-in where you're isolating one part of the body, and then, the next and then, the next, moving along like a chain. And today, we're going to do the most classic wave which is the arm wave.
So, step one. This is the starting position. So, you've got a good straight arm.
Now, step one, you need to get from your fingers to your wrist so we're going to tuck our fingers in and push them to the floor. Only that part of your arm moves. Step two, we'll be moving from the wrist to the elbow and the idea is you keep your hand exactly where it is.
So, you're just going to turn it upside down. You should be turning if I go back again, your elbow to the ceiling, so you've got a flat hand in a step shape. Step number three, you're going to straighten your am and lift up your shoulder, keeping that hand exactly where it is.
So, that's step three. If we go back, starting position, step one, curl the wrist. Step two, around to the elbow.
Keep your hand where it is. Step three to the shoulder, and then, you could reverse steps three to one. So, three, two, one, and to the end.
I'm going to show you how to put all those steps together. Now, the idea is that if you can keep your arms as still as possible between and then move fluidly through each of the steps. To summarize and break down the wave, you've got three steps.
First step is moving from your fingers to your wrist. Second step is turning the elbow backwards so that you've got a step shape, so a flat hand and your elbow pointing up, and the third step is straightening your arm and lifting the shoulder towards your ear. Make that as fluid as possible.
Try and keep your hand in the same place at all times. And that's how to do the wave. .
