So today, I'm going to show you how to do an assemble. An assemble takes a lot of coordination of the legs, so we're best to start at the bar. So what would be best to do? Take hold of the bar to help with your balance.

You're going to take your feet into a fifth position here, or well-crossed third, plie with the legs, bend the legs, and then slide the other leg out. And then, as it comes over the top, up into a rise here joining the legs together, and then you land and bend. Then you do it with the other leg.

So you plie, extend, draw up to demi pointe, and bend. Stretch, so plie, extend, draw up to demi pointe, and then plie. And then, we can do it a little bit quicker, because that's the join movement that you want at the end of your jump.

That's it. And up. So then, if we were to take this into the center, it's an allegro movement, so it means it needs to be jumped and lifted off the floor.

So from here, it's a plie, and you brush, join, jump. Brush. So, to go through the points again of the assemble, you need to plie here, brush the foot along the floor as the leg extends, drawing up, then lowering into your plie.

And again, the other foot. Push and stay into that plie here as that leg goes out, draw up, and then lower. And then to repeat again, a bit faster just helps with that coordination.

Draw up, and down, and up, and down, and just sustaining that demi pointe there just helps accentuate the joining of the legs in the air when you come to jump. And that's how to do an assemble. .
