How To Do Autumn Makeup
As the warmth of summer subsides and the leaves turn from green to red, learn how to create a beautiful autumnal make-up look with this guide from make-up artist and beauty expert Ruth Frances.
Top Tips
- Use warm browns and bronzes on your eyes and cheeks to complement the colours of the season and to hold on to the last of your summer tan! Using a highlighter on your cheek and brow bones, also, will give your face a beautiful bronzed glow.
- Blend your lipliner with your finger to prevent it looking too harsh and dated. You can use lipliner all over your lips as a kind of primer, to help your lipstick stay on longer.
- High pigment, matte lipsticks are best for autumn looks and should replace the soft glosses of your summer make-up kit.
- Try to avoid using black on your eyes in the autumn, as it can be too dark and cold. Autumn make-up looks should be about warm browns, golds and deep reds, reflecting the shades and tones of the season.
