Step 1:
-
Body Alignment
-
Okay. Now we're going to do a bicep curl. It's very important to keep your body in alignment and everything tight and controlled if you're not using a machine for this exercise.
-
Step 2:
-
Knee Movement
-
So, to set up, we're going to have our feet shoulder width apart, and slightly bend in the knees. You don't want to lock them out.
-
Step 3:
-
Tighten The Abdominals
-
Palms facing out, keeping your arms close to your body. You're bringing the weight all the way up and slowly dropping it back down. Keeping those abs tight, back straight.
-
Step 4:
-
Lower Your Body
-
Everything is in control, slowly lowering your body. So your elbow's your pivot point. Keeping your upper arms beside your body. And then exhaling as you're bringing it up. Inhaling as you're releasing. Abs stay tight. They're really important to help you control your body.
