Hi! My name is Aliza from Seams So Easy, www.seamsoeasy.com.
I have been sewing for fifteen years and today I am going to show you some stitches. This is an example of a blanket stitch on a shorter hem. So, I have got my needle threaded up and for this, I have used skim thread.
So once a little up-down stitch, keeping your thread facing upwards. She needs to go under in a sense that you are forming a loop. You use this stitch on any sort of decorative, it's in a decorative edging.
You could hem using this as well. You use it for, say on a pillow, you see a lot of it felt on because it's a very pretty stitch and it infuses a lot of color all at once. It finishes it in the same way as it started, come up.
We stop the stitch at the back, form a loop. That's what a blanket stitch looks like. .
