Hey guys, I'm a BMX flatlander. My name's Mario Carese and I ride for Team Extreme, and I'm going to be showing you some BMX tips and hints. I'm going to show you how to do BMX tricks.

Basically, there are thousands of tricks, but I've picked two for you which are quite easy to learn but they're quite effective. The first one will be used in all aspects of BMX, whether you're a vert rider, a street rider; there's going to be a time when you're going to spin your bars back after landing a trick. So I'm going to show you how to do that and also I'm going to show you a flat land trick that's called an Infinity Roll which is using your back pegs and also scuffing the tire at the same time.

It's called the Infinity Roll because you could roll infinitely basically. So, first of all, I'm going to show you how to do the bar spin. There's a 180 version of the bar spin, so if you come out of a trick and your handle bars, for example, are this way around, you need to get your handle bars back.

So the easy way to do that is spin them back. They way I find this easy, just for 180 is just to take your right hand, your free hand, turn in the circle you're going, grab the grip from underneath. So both hands are on this grip, and then just tug.

You just pull the bike, pull the bars, open your legs slightly as you do it, that will stop the bars hitting your leg and you just keep doing this. So basically, if you just do that a few times, you'll soon get the hang of it. That's your basic 180 bar spin.

Then you have your 360 bar spin. Now, there's several ways to do this trick. The first one is similar to the way I just did the 180, except for I'm going to use my left hand and I'm just going to hop on the bars real fast, and sort of spread my legs a little bit so the handle bars don't hit me.

So, that kind of thing and you're going to be catching it with your right hand this time. So, and catch. And catch.

And that's basically your 360. The next trick I'm going to show you is a flat land move and it's called the Infinity Roll. It's called that because you can roll infinitely in this position.

You're basically going to be using your back peg and your foot on the tire to make the bike move. You're going to be pumping the tire back by kicking it, but you don't kick it all the time. You're just going to kick it when you need to.

You'll feel the momentum of the trick pulling you and eventually you'll be able to give it one scuff and it will roll, scuff, and roll. You'll get into some sort of order with it. But I'm going to do the trick now so you can see the make up of the trick.

The important thing is to turn the bars and keep them turned while standing on the back pegs like this. You're going to keep these bars roughly this angle. If you're like this you're just going to go back into a straight line and then probably fall off.

So, you need to keep that, that will maintain your circle. If you do that with your bike, you'll see that it will go in that circle. So to get into this trick, again, you're going to do a small endo just to get the momentum to come backwards, but you're not going to lift the front will up, you're just going to roll back with your own body weight.

Turn those bars and when you're ready, scuff the tire. When it slows down, scuff that tire. You don't need brakes for this trick.

You just need to keep the right angle and the scuff going. To get out, find your pedal, push down and away you go. And that's your infinity roll and with that and the bar spins there are a couple of basic bike tricks that you can learn quite easily. .
