How to do catwalk makeup. There are so many designers and so many different styles of fashion. Doing one particular look that defines catwalk is almost impossible.

But there is one area that's the very key when is comes to catwalk makeup and that's to make sure it stands out. When the model is walking down the catwalk she really needs to have definition in her face. So making the makeup pop.

I've already applied a base and a small amount of eyeliner and mascara onto the model's face. I'm going to be using a really deep, dark blue with flecks of gold, which will really capture the light on the runway. With catwalk makeup you really can go to town and have some fun.

But if you're going for a small dinner party with some friends be careful not to go too crazy. To make sure your eyes really pop when on the catwalk I'm using this fantastic highlighter and just using it right in the middle of the eye. When this catches the light on the catwalk it will bring the eye to life and make it really, really twinkle.

Next, use the same highlighter but run it very gently along your cheekbone. This is to create some definition in the cheeks. And a small amount just below your eyebrow.

Blend this in and already the face is starting to come alive. The next step is to create definition in the cheeks so they really look sculpted. To do the sculpted look, take some dark, bronzing, but nor glittery, but a dark brown or a mushroomed colored deep powder.

And apply the dark color just underneath the cheekbone, but dont go any farther than the starting point of the eye. So keep within this zone and use a small amount, just to define the cheekbone.

In the next step, whatever lipstick you're using, however bright, however subdued, use a bit of gloss.

Again, this creates a wonderful pop to the eye. But keep it in the middle of the lips. This will draw the lips forward, again creating that definition and a fantastic pop of the lips.

Finally, a secret little trick. Along the Cupid's bow put a small amount of highlighter. This will just lift the shape of the lips.

So, just remember, when you're doing catwalk makeup, however subdued, however bright the makeup is, make sure you really define and create a pop with the makeup. So in the middle of the eyes, on the cheekbone and on the middle on the lips and on Cupid's bow. So that's how to do a catwalk makeup.
